Eowyn had not expected to see the creature that scuttled past her to the edge of the water, and indeed she did not even know what it was. It was not a rabbit nor anything else she had ever seen, but it seemed to be interested in a shiny necklace in the water. Bleod, in her turn, was interested in the creature and moved her head slightly so that she might sniff it from a safe distance.

When Newt appeared in the clearing behind the creature, she could not help but laugh at the way he addressed the small creature.

"Well-met," she greeted him. "Is this yours?"
