For Fili: A Commission.
The holidays here were of course not those that would be celebrated at home, but there was still a harvest festival as well as a midwinter feast, it seemed. It was called "Christmas" here and was centered around both a religious observance and a non-religious one. She had not determined how the small child related to the aged man, but one thing she had noticed was that gifts were exchanged.
She was thankful and grateful for her friends and she wished them to have gifts. Some were simple and could be purchased from the merchants here, but Hild was different. Hild was the closest Eowyn had ever had to a sister, one who understood the challenges and the joys of a unique position in her society. Eowyn wished her to have something of Rohan, and hoped that even if Hild was sent back to her own time, the memories and the gift might follow.
After some thought, Eowyn decided a small piece of jewelry with a Rohirric motif might suit, and there was only one craftsman who would make it to her standards, she knew. She made her way to Fili's store and pushed the door open, hoping he was not so busy for a consultation.

"And you as well, Fili," she replied warmly. Neither Dwarf would allow her to call them Lord and so she did not, but in her own mind, she knew them to be so. Fili looked well, looked content, and she hoped his shop was successful for him.
"I wish to ask if you have time for a commission, though I know the season must be busy for you with other commissions."

A quick mental scan of his list of orders indicates that he certainly has the time to take on another, though even if that had not been true, he considers Eowyn a friend and so would have found the time somewhere. "Were you looking to commission a gift?"

"I am," she agreed. "A small thing, though, which may not be worth your effort and time when you could take another commission that is larger."
